Spine Technology Summit: The fastest growing sector in Orthopedics is also the fastest changing. Last year, the venue to see the technologies that are transforming spine care was SAS-5 in New York City . And the attendance was spectacular. SAS-5 offered attendees a unique and valuable window into the future of the spinal implant industry—an industry that has generated extraordinary returns to investors as well as opened new vistas of hope for patients and surgeons alike. To enhance and build on the outstanding research and educational platform represented by SAS, RRY Publications is pleased to host the annual Spine Technology Summit. The Summit is designed to meet the needs of venture capitalists, private equity investors, hedge fund managers, analysts and mutual fund managers as well as orthopedic business development managers, analysts, distributors, salespeople and engineers. For all these attendees, the Spine Technology Summit offers a front row seat to the future of spine.

Stem Cell Summit: How will the Stem Cell revolution affect orthopedics? It will fundamentally change who is treated, how they are treated, what it will cost and who will pay. And it will affect spine repair, soft tissue repair, fracture repair and set in motion a revolution in articular cartilage repair.

For the first time ever, a stem cell seminar has been organized that focuses on the use of stem cells in the operating room. Supporting their presentations will be the scientists and companies that are driving this revolution behind the scenes. Never before have clinicians and scientists been in one place, at one time, to deliver the REAL STEM CELL STORY. The Stem Cell Summit program is designed to separate knowledge from opinion, hope from hype and give attendees a full sense of “what really causes what” when stem cells are used to grow bone or repair soft tissue.

The conference addresses questions like: What are the risks? How do adult stem cells differentiate? How potent are they? How can the therapeutic outcomes be rendered reproducible and safe – as the FDA might define those terms? How can clinicians source therapeutic quantities of stem cells? What is a therapeutic quantity? The answers are clearer and more definitive than, we suspect, most clinicians and investors realize.

The overriding goal of this conference is to accurately describe the state of adult stem cell product development in orthopedics. To accomplish this objective, we have invited a sizeable number of clinicians who are using stem cell-based products on their current patients, as well as the principal researchers in the areas of bone growth, soft tissue and cartilage repair.

The Stem Cell Summit program is designed to separate knowledge from opinion, hope from hype. In addition to a strong basis in the underlying biology—including illuminating discussions of the mechanism of action at the level of the gene, cell or regenerating tissue—attendees will get a full sense of “what really causes what” when stem cells are used to grow bone or repair soft tissue.

Spine Book - Market Forecasts and Analysis: $900 million in new spinal implant sales added in 2005. $4 billion in rising equity value in 2005! And the growth is just getting started. Between 2005 and 2015, we estimate, small companies and new technologies will drive a tripling in revenues and a quadrupling of equity values in the Spinal Implant Industry. Amazingly, with several hundred companies participating in this industry, only two are public. Most importantly for investors, a wave of new technologies and entrepreneurs are fueling the engine. Spinal implant sales are forecast to triple over the coming decade. Equity values will pop from a current $21 billion (our inputed estimate) to, we estimate, $60-$75 billion. This is the first detailed and authorative market analysis of allogenic, autologous and cultured stem cell products. Over 250 pages. Profiles of 37 stem cell providers.
