Aaron C. Smith has been named Chief Executive Officer of Nashville, Tennessee, Artelon, says International Life Sciences, LLC. Smith, who has 23 years in the orthopedic industry, will lead this company that is known for synthetic biomaterial technology for orthopedic soft tissue reinforcement.

Smith also served in leadership roles with Spinal Concepts (acquired by Abbott Laboratories in 2003), Xomed Surgical Products (acquired by Medtronic in 1999), and Acromed (acquired by DePuy Orthopedics in 1997).”

Dear Mr. Smith,
I have been in contact earlier with Mr. Barese and even visited Nashville last November. We have a need for the Artelon implants, which I use in CC-reconstrucions and cuff enhancements and the other doctors for achilles repair. My own company also is interested in importing the Artelon graft to Scandinavia.
