Newport Beach, California-based DISC Sports & Spine Center has added two new physician partners to its growing team—pain management specialist and physiatrist Leia Rispoli, M.D. and orthopedic spine surgeon Nick Jain, M.D.

Dr. Rispoli is a double-board-certified interventional pain management specialist and physiatrist. She treats a number of pain conditions utilizing, per the press release, “advanced neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation) techniques, ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and regenerative medicine techniques.” Dr. Rispoli is also going to enable DISC to expand its treatment options to include chronic pelvic floor pain.

OTW spoke with Dr. Rispoli about her new position. Dr. Rispoli expressed excitement, telling OTW, “What I am most excited about is joining a group of surgeons, many of whom I have worked with in the past, that I trust and respect for their approach to patient care.”

Dr. Rispoli continued, “I am also excited to have the support to grow my practice in my way, aligned with the ethical practice of the DISC group.”

Dr. Jain is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon. He specializes in adult degenerative spinal care utilizing “minimally invasive techniques and motion preservation surgeries.” His dedication to clinical research and new technology allows him to offer patients “leading-edge, minimally invasive treatments like basivertebral nerve ablation.”

OTW also spoke with Dr. Jain about his decision to join DISC. Dr. Jain told OTW, “I am excited to bring my specialized skills and training to a group of physicians and colleagues dedicated to high-quality patient care, individualized treatments and outpatient spine surgery in a collegial and collaborative environment.”

Dr. Jain continued, “The people at DISC and their dedication to being at the forefront of minimally invasive spine care are a large part of what attracted me to the group.”

DISC is a subsidiary of Newport Beach, California-based Trias Global, a musculoskeletal management company, and a portfolio company of Chicago, Illinois-based Chicago Pacific Founders, a healthcare investment firm.

The addition of Dr. Rispoli and Dr. Jain is part of an effort to expand DISC. Trias Global CEO James Becker commented, in part, “Earlier this year, we announced a strategic growth partnership that was created to expand DISC in several ways, one of which is staffing.”
