Personalized Shoulder Implant Added to Exactech Portfolio

Leuven, Belgium-based Materialise NV and Gainesville, Florida-based Exactech, Inc. are collaborating to bring personalized implants to patients with severe shoulder defects.

Exactech will now offer the Materialise Glenius as part of its extensive orthopedic implant portfolio. According to Materialise, the Glenius is a “personalized implant for treating non-inflammatory and inflammatory degenerative joint disease, bone deformities at the glenoid, and structural bone loss of the scapula.” Additionally, “most patients present Wallace type 2 and 3 defects in primary and revision cases.”
