A systematic review of 36 artificial intelligence (AI) studies provided evidence that AI models may give human diagnosticians a run for their money when diagnosing hand and wrist injuries—or maybe just lighten their load.
The study, “The Accuracy of Artificial Intelligence Models in Hand/Wrist Fracture and Dislocation Diagnosis-A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis,” appears in the September 5, 2024 edition of JBJS Reviews.
