In this case, Kevin Plancher, M.D. and lead critic of AAOS’s proposal to update their bylaw for the 21st century, decided to accelerate his complaints against AAOS—beyond his “creative” campaign on LinkedIn—by filing a lawsuit on December 19, 2024 against the 92-year-old educational and surgeon society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
