The University of Iowa Health Care (UI Health Care) has inaugurated its new $525 million medical campus in North Liberty, marking a significant expansion of its healthcare services beyond the university’s main campus. Opened on April 28, 2025, this facility is the first newly constructed hospital by UI Health Care situated away from its primary location in Iowa City.
Strategically located at the intersection of Forevergreen Road and Highway 965, the North Liberty campus spans 469,000 square feet on a 60-acre site. It houses 36 inpatient beds, 84 clinic exam rooms, 14 emergency care rooms, and 12 operating rooms, with the capacity to expand to 16.
