We orthopedic surgeons love a good fix. Broken bones? Repaired. Torn tendons? Reconstructed. Missing limbs? Well, now we’re talking real challenges—the kind that require not just implants and instrumentation, but heart, grit, and a whole lot of community.

Enter the Hanger Foundation, the philanthropic arm of one of the biggest names in O&P, and the group just dropped $280,000 in its 2025 Empowerment Grants. That money’s not going to fancy tech or conference swag—it’s going straight into the hands of 35 nonprofits that specialize in transforming lives for people with limb loss, mobility impairments, and physical disabilities.
