In a bold play for the future of outpatient care, Ascension is adding serious muscle to its ambulatory strategy. The Catholic non-profit health giant announced this week that it has entered into an agreement to acquire AMSURG, one of the country’s largest developers and operators of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
