Life Spine, Inc., a medical device company specializing in spinal fusion and minimally invasive surgical technologies, has filed an injunction complaint against its former CEO and founder, Michael Butler, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. The lawsuit—filed in the Chancery Division under case number 2025 CH 06287—is pending before Judge Thaddeus L. Wilson.
According to a press release Life Spine issued, the complaint alleges significant misconduct by Butler during his tenure, including financial misappropriation, mismanagement of corporate resources, and post-termination interference with the company’s operations and intellectual property.
