In an effort to explore potential synergistic effects between two established intra-articular therapies, a team of researchers in Singapore conducted a randomized controlled trial assessing the efficacy of combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with hyaluronic acid (HA) for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Their findings, p.ublished May 19, 2025, in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, suggest that while the combination may offer structural advantages, it does not demonstrate clear clinical superiority over HA alone.
