Spine surgeons mark your calendars for October 1, 2025—because Medicare is officially sweetening the deal for cervical fusion procedures using Carlsmed, Inc.’s aprevo® personalized interbody implants.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has granted these devices a New Technology Add-On Payment (NTAP), which means hospitals performing qualifying inpatient procedures could see up to an additional $21,125 on top of standard MS-DRG reimbursement.
