This year, The ROCK Group, no, not “that’ Rock group, but the Research in Osteochondritis of the Knee Study Group, celebrates its milestone 15th magnificent year of chasing down OCD of the Knee. In their honor, OTW is proud to present the story of these ROCK stars in musculoskeletal research. 

If you ask most orthopedic surgeons about osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) of the knee, the response is often the same: fascinating, frustrating, and occasionally unpredictable. One patient heals beautifully with rest and activity modification, while another with a seemingly similar lesion ends up in the operating room months later.
