There’s a changing of the guard in the world of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) restoration — and it comes at a time when the conversation around ligament healing is getting a lot louder in sports medicine clinics and OR lounges everywhere.

Miach Orthopaedics, the company behind the increasingly talked-about Bridge-Enhanced ACL Restoration (BEAR®) Implant, has named seasoned medtech executive Jamal Rushdy as its next president and CEO. He officially steps into the role May 18, taking over from Patrick McBrayer, who helped shepherd the company from “interesting technology” to “wait…are we actually restoring ACLs now?”
