Former Green Bay Packer and Seattle Seahawk tight-end and two-time unanimous All-American football player for the Ole Miss Rebels, Joel Rufus French, 47, of Armory, Mississippi, was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay a massive fine for, apparently, running a fraudulent orthopedic bracing scheme. 

According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors, French scammed patients (many who were elderly and did not order nor want the orthotics) using overseas call centers, sham telemedicine orders, and fake suppliers.
