LDR Holding Corporation has announced that the initial implantations of the ROI-C Titanium-Coated Cervical Cage have taken place. The first surgeries were performed by Mark Giovanini, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery in Pensacola, Florida, and Neil Romero, M.D., a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and arthroplasty in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Dr. Giovanini shared in the June 02, 2016 news release, “The addition of ROI-C Titanium-Coated implants is a big step forward. ROI-C’s VerteBRIDGE plating system makes for procedural simplicity, and I could feel the additional friction provided by the titanium coating.”

The roic cage is my worst nightmare! 5 months later still excruciating pain! Woke up from surgery worst pain I ever had! No fusion now, my life is pretty much over! From when I woke up continual cracking and feeling like it gets stuck, my doctor does not care! I am highly allergic to nickel, and doctor said would not be any problem!
I had my cervical surgery over 6 months ago with the Roic cage, my life is terrible! pain and is still excruciating! I feel like the doctor does not care! I also believe the doctors know the problems after reading all these stories!! I now know never trust your doctor, after reading so many horror stories they know this device is bad, but do not care!
ROI-C Should be banned. Must remove this again, because the plates cause inflammation.

I have more pain since the implant ROI- C implant at C3-4. I am in more pain than before the implant. I too feel like it gets stuck and is hard to lift my head sometimes due to pain. Everything I do involving turning my neck hurts and gets my whole neck , head and shoulders hurting. I have burning headaches and arm numbness. Pains are stabbing and burning like in my neck at fusion site. It must be the device . I had plates and screws to fuse C 4-7 a year prior and it felt nothing like this contraption!!!!
