The enrollment was 15-patients, and that final patient was just treated in the Thumb Hemi-Arthroplasty with Natural Kinematics (THANKS) study. The device being tested is the first implant system to mimic the complex biomechanics of the thumb base joint in the hopes of better restoring native biomechanics.
The product being tested is brand named InDx Implant System, manufactured the study sponsor, Loci Orthopaedics Limited of Galway, Ireland.
