Thirty-eight teams hoping to run the gauntlet and emerge as the National Champion musculoskeletal technology startup company of 2025, entered the OrthoPitch contest about six months ago.

Organized by the American Academy of Orthopaedics Surgeons (AAOS) and sponsored by MCRA (an IQVIA company), Smith & Nephew, SmartTRAK, Troutman Pepper Locke and, of course, AAOS, this contest pitted 38 top technology startups against each other to reach, first, the semi-final round, then the Final Four round and finally, in front of an enthusiastic audience at the recently concluded Academy meeting in San Diego, be voted the #1 high tech MSK startup in America.
