A qualitative study published in the May 14, 2025, edition of Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research explores a critical yet under-addressed issue in contemporary orthopedic practice: the underutilization of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) by orthopedic surgeons.

Titled How Can the Use of Patient-Reported Outcomes Data by Orthopaedic Surgeons Be Improved? A National Qualitative Study,” the research investigates the barriers and facilitators to PROMs use in routine clinical care among Australian orthopedic surgeons.
