The only thing that goes missing on his watch is inefficiency…Millstone Medical Outsourcing has recently announced that John F. Ferris is its news Director of Manufacturing Engineering. Ferris, who has 25 years of experience in manufacturing and engineering, will be responsible for ramping up Millstone’s manufacturing operations, including processes involving new technology and automation.
In addition to holding operational and engineering positions at DePuy and other prominent companies, Ferris served as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Flexcon Industries. Ferris holds a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the New England Institute of Technology. He is trained in Just-in-Time manufacturing concepts, International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001, Branson TDR programming, as well as CNC, Laser, and CMM programming.
“We are excited to welcome John to the team. He is an incredibly talented manufacturing engineer. He offers Millstone’s customers the level of expertise they need to compete in today’s competitive market, ” said Christopher Ramsden, Chief Executive Officer, in the news release.
Ferris told OTW,
Millstone is continually enhances processes to streamline service. Part of my job will be to create flexible automation for current processes. I will also be working to facilitate the incorporation of new technologies, such as Nitrogen flush pouching, sealing enhancements, online labeling, label scanning for improved label printing, and other advancements in cleaning, passivation, and inspection.
