PAL Health Technologies, Inc. a manufacturer of ankle braces, is introducing two new lines of braces for ankles. One line, called Transition Ankle, is a non-custom traditional brace that provides enhanced lateral support for a variety of ankle ailments from night splints for heel pain to boots for postoperative walking. The second line, called Element 78, is a custom extension of the Platinum ankle brace line used in more severe cases of conditions from PTTD (posterior tibial tendon dysfunction), a common ankle pathology, to ulcerated Charcot foot.

The new lines add 13 new non-custom braces and four new custom braces to PAL Health’s line. “PAL has been a major player in custom ankle braces and gauntlets for nearly ten years, ” said Howard Hillman, Director of Training and Development for the company. “With this extensive addition we are supplying our clients with a vast improvement to their ankle brace tool kits.”

Company officials say the firm has taken into consideration the Medicare and private insurance reimbursement details for each of its new brace lines. All braces in the Transition and Element 78 lines have a Medicare and private insurance billing code assigned. “We understand that consistent, reliable reimbursement is necessary. Our team of experts is there to help our client’s code appropriately for the products being dispensed, ” Hillman said in the August 13 press release.

PAL Health Technologies, Inc., with headquarters in Pekin, Illinois, was founded in 1976. It is a privately held company.
