Robert Carson

Robert W. Carson, M.D, a pioneer in the field of arthroscopic surgery and a founding member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, died November 22 at his home in Woodside, California. Carson was the inventor of the Novell and Carson Operating Arthroscope for the Stryker Corporation and a clinical instructor at Stanford University. Carson attended Vanderbilt University, earned his MD from the University of Tennessee and completed Residency at the Orthopedic Hospital in Los Angeles.
