SpineCraft, LLC announced on April 24 that Zimmer Spine will begin distributing, on an exclusive basis, the company’s APEX Spine System in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The distribution agreement will include the APEX Deformity, Complex Spine, and Degenerative modules.
A statement from SpineCraft noted that it has expanded the APEX system and now offers dedicated Deformity Titanium Rods in multiple diameters, Open Iliac Connectors and additional configurations of the system’s low profile Rod-to-Rod Connectors. The company has also released a number of new instruments, including the latest generation of an advanced Vertebral Column Derotation System.
At the end of 2012, the company completed a move to a new office location in Westmont, Illinois and has been expanding the number of employees at the company. The company is privately held and was founded in 2004 by its CEO, Wagdy Asaad, M.D., and Kamal Ibrahim, M.D.
