EOS imaging, the company specializing in 2D/3D orthopedic medical imaging, has announced two new installations of the EOS system in AP-HP public hospitals in Paris, at the Lariboisière and Trousseau hospitals.
The Lariboisière hospital acquired an EOS system within the framework of a healthcare cooperation consortium between the hospital and the Bachaumont private radiology center. The equipment will be used for spine and joint pathologies in adults, with a particular focus on exams associated with hip and knee arthroplasties.
The Trousseau pediatric and perinatal hospital acquired an EOS system within the framework of the MAMUTH Musculoskeletal Diseases AP-HP initiative, which includes a multiyear clinical research program. This new EOS system will in particular be dedicated to the imaging of osteo-articular conditions in children, amongst which those with cerebral palsy.

Marie Meynadier told OTW, “As EOS becomes a more established name in musculoskeletal imaging, we have a twofold objective for continued growth—to cement the EOS imaging system as the standard of care for both pediatric and adult imaging, and to expand globally beyond Europe and the U.S. We recently announced our first installation in Japan. It is our goal to continue Japanese expansion, then progress to other Asian countries including China, Korea and Taiwan—and eventually Latin America, through a series of country-specific distribution partnerships. Additionally, our late 2013 acquisition of OneFit medical will enable expansion of our offering of EOS systems to include additional products, in particular surgeon-centric software packages dedicated to diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery control and follow up.”
