LDR Holding Corporation is celebrating two major recent milestones. The company indicates that it has reached 80, 000 implantations of its exclusive VerteBRIDGE plating technology and 30, 000 implantations of its exclusive Mobi-C Cervical Disc replacement technology worldwide.

LDR President and CEO Christophe Lavigne told OTW, “It is very rewarding to see continued, positive and global growth in our two, primary platform technologies. We are very pleased to communicate on the latest implantation numbers, and as we look toward the future, LDR will remain focused on offering a portfolio of innovative and highly differentiated products.”

VerteBRIDGE was introduced in France in 2007 and debuted in the U.S. a year later. They are equipped with integrated, zero-profile, in-line plating technology adapted for use in anterior cervical, anterior lumbar, oblique lumbar, and lateral lumbar applications.

A company representative told OTW, “In addition, LDR’s exclusive Mobi-C Cervical Disc, the only FDA approved disc for both one and two-level use, is a mobile-bearing prosthesis specifically designed as a bone-sparing, cervical intervertebral disc replacement. LDR believes that Mobi-C offers a simplified surgical technique as compared to other, commercially available devices. Additionally, Mobi-C demonstrated superiority to anterior cervical discectomy and fusion in the two-level FDA study in overall trial success at 24 months.”
