David M. Dare, M.D., a fellowship trained orthopedist specializing in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, has brought his talents to the Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in North Carolina.
As the company wrote in its September 7, 2017 news release, ”Dr. Dare began his academic career at Boston College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia. Dr. Dare then completed his surgical internship at Cornell University/New-York Presbyterian Hospital and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the #1 ranked Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.”
“During his residency, Dr. Dare was awarded the Thomas Wickiewicz, M.D. Resident Research Grant and the Thomas P. Sculco Award, an award given by colleagues and hospital staff to the resident that most excels in patient care.”
“He was also named an AOA Emerging Leader. After his residency training, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery, where he served as assistant team physician for the New York Giants and Iona College.
“Dr. Dare has authored over 20 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters, and has given multiple podium and poster presentations at national and international conferences. He currently serves as a journal reviewer for the Hospital of Special Surgery Journal and The American Journal of Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Medical Association (AMA).”
