OrthoArizona, with more than 70 physicians in 25 Phoenix metropolitan area locations, has announced that it has added four new specialists to its orthopedic team.
“We are pleased to announce the continued growth of our organization by welcoming four exceptionally skilled physicians to our OrthoArizona team,” said OrthoArizona CEO John Kinna, in the September 8, 2017 news release.
“Each of our specialists brings a unique depth of expertise, which contributes to our ability to provide patients all over the Valley with comprehensive orthopedic care of the highest quality. With the growth of our physician team, we are pleased that our services are becoming even more accessible to those seeking to regain their mobility and restore their lives.”
As OrthoArizona wrote in its news release, “Dr. Caleb Behrend, M.D., joins OrthoArizona as a spine specialist with expertise in cervical spine surgery, scoliosis and spinal deformity, trauma surgery and general musculoskeletal medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed both his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester. He later completed a spine fellowship at The Rothman Institute/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Behrend will see patients in OrthoArizona’s Gilbert and Chandler offices.”
“Total joint specialist Dr. Matthew Russo, M.D., is now seeing patients in Scottsdale and his specialization includes total hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Russo attended medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed his residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He recently completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction Orthopedic Surgery with Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic in Arlington, Virginia.”
“Dr. John Tefteller, D.O., joins OrthoArizona as a non-surgical sports medicine specialist with expertise in non-operative care of musculoskeletal injury, concussion management, injury prevention and osteopathic manipulative treatment. He attended Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and later completed his residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital as well as a fellowship at San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center. Dr. Tefteller will see patients in Chandler and Gilbert.”
“Foot and ankle specialist, Dr. David Jaffe, M.D., is now seeing patients in OrthoArizona’s Phoenix and Scottsdale offices. Dr. Jaffe completed his residency at the University of Maryland and later completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center. His expertise includes treating patients of all ages with conditions ranging from bunions and hammertoes to total ankle replacement and complex reconstruction.”
Dr. Jaffe commented to OTW, "Training with some amazing physicians is what has prepared me for this role. I emphasize ‘physicians’ because I have been fortunate to train with people that are phenomenal surgeons, but also empathetic and thorough and make surgical decisions together with a patient and not just based on x-ray findings.”
“I am most looking forward to seeing patients through the entirety of a diagnosis. Making decisions about surgery with a patient, following them during the immediate postop phase and continuing to guide them through to a complete recovery.”
