4WEB Medical President and CEO Jessee Hunt told OTW, “The 4WEB Lateral Spine Truss System is the most innovative interbody design on the market while the TeDan and Lattus XL platforms are best in class lateral access retractors. By establishing this exclusive partnership, 4WEB can now offer a Total Lateral Solution allowing our surgeons to focus on the interbody technology rather than the lateral access system.”
“According to 4WEB Medical, the Extreme Lateral (XL) Access platform was developed to be the most user-friendly retractor system on the market. This was accomplished by integrating proprietary design elements that mitigate performance characteristics that surgeons find problematic in competitive retractors. While TeDan will continue to market other surgical systems and fulfill contractual obligations to its existing customers, the company will no longer manufacture and distribute its flagship XL3 retractor. Going forward, the company’s primary focus will be the advancement of 4WEB’s Lateral Spine Truss System through the continued development of the Lattus XL15 retractor.”
