“We are excited about expanding our presence in the Scottsdale community,” said Steve Myerthall, M.D., market president and orthopedic surgeon at The CORE Institute. “The CORE Institute first began seeing patients in 2005, and over the years we have seen a growing demand for our services across the Valley, as well as out of state. We feel that expanding into the Scottsdale area provides a great opportunity for our physicians and therapists to offer increased access to patients seeking our orthopedic care, close to home or work.”

“The CORE Institute is thrilled to expand our Excellence through Evidence platform in Scottsdale to significantly enhance the orthopedic care available in the greater Scottsdale area,” said Vice Chairman, Dr. Jason Scalise. “We’re excited to bring our standardized care approach, proprietary quality IT [information technology] platform, and proven clinical outcomes to continue to redefine orthopedic services and care across the Valley.”

Jason Scalise, M.D., vice chairman and director, National Physician Integration for HOPCo (Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company) and The CORE Institute, told OTW, “This is the continuation of the growth of our platform in this and other markets of efficiently delivering high-quality, evidence-based, comprehensive musculoskeletal care to the community. We see this model resonating with patients and the community over many years given their feedback.”

“Although we currently see many patients from this area of Scottsdale at one of our other 19 clinic and physical therapy locations in the Phoenix Metro area, it is important to us to be able to make available additional convenient options in an effort to make our delivery of care as local and available as possible. This new facility will have both the comprehensive musculoskeletal care offerings as our other locations as well as convenient access.”
