Rochester, New York-based medical imaging and IT company, Carestream Health, has announced that it was awarded 42 U.S. patents by from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2018. The patents were awarded in the areas of digital radiology, extremity CT imaging, and other healthcare technology areas. The company also received 37 patents in European and Asian countries last year.

The new patents include medical image capture technologies related to the development of computed tomography (CT) systems designed for extremity exams and technology advancements that enhance the image quality delivered by Carestream’s radiology imaging systems and detectors.
