Julia Bulkeley, M.D. has joined OrthoCarolina Laurinburg and will specialize in pediatric orthopedic surgery and general orthopedics. Dr. Bulkeley will see patients at OrthoCarolina and perform surgeries at partner facility Scotland Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining OrthoCarolina, she was with Pediatric Orthopaedic Associates in Columbus, Georgia.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, Dr. Bulkeley undertook a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She then completed her pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Bulkeley told OTW, “I am excited to join the OrthoCarolina Scotland team and to be part of the Laurinburg community. I will work with a wonderful group of orthopedic mentors and team members to learn about the community and its needs.”
“My initial priority is to make lives better by getting the word out that the greater Scotland (North Carolina) community now has a fellowship trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon on hand to provide quality care closer to home.”
