The Castellvi Spine Symposium has a long history of providing an impactful, interactive educational experience for spine professionals. This year, the meeting will break more new ground by going completely virtual in a 4-part webinar series, 2020 Castellvi Spine: Advances in Spine Surgery.
Organized by the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE), the 2020 Castellvi Spine: Advances in Spine Surgery CME webinar series will be held on 4 consecutive Thursday evenings, starting on September 10. Each weekly webinar will have a theme.
September 10: Motion Preservation, moderated by William Welch, M.D., will present the latest data on outcomes of disc replacement, including failures, as well as facet replacement technologies.
September 17: Stem Cells, moderated by Ira Fedder, M.D., will address the always-topical area of regenerative medicine options, such as the treatment of degenerative disc disease with different cell types.
September 24: Biomaterials and Biomechanics, moderated by Boyle Cheng, Ph.D., will tackle the nitty-gritty of manufacturing biomaterials used in implants, as well as the mechanics of stand-alone interbody devices.
October 1: COVID Impact in 2020 moderated by Jim Billys, M.D., final session will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on orthopaedics.
Each 90-minute webinar in this 4-part virtual CME series will begin at 8:00 pm EDT.
FORE is partnering with OTW Virtual Conventions on 2020 Castellvi Spine: Advances in Spine Surgery, allowing spine professionals to not only earn CMEs, but also to interact virtually with faculty, other attendees, and industry, all from the convenience and comfort of their home or office.
Attendees will have ample time to explore the booths in the Virtual Exhibit Hall and learn more about new products and technologies. The exhibit hall will open at 7:00 pm EDT for 1 hour before the sessions begin and will reopen for 1 hour after the sessions end.
FORE designates this internet live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ (1.5 per each session). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Physician assistants may also claim a maximum of 6 Category 1 credits (1.5 per each session) for completing this activity.
