Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists (ONS), a Greenwich, Connecticut-based provider of orthopedic and neurosurgery services with offices in the New York City area, has announced a partnership with Orthopedic Associates of Middletown.
Based in Middletown, Connecticut, Orthopedic Associates of Middletown provides general and multispecialty orthopedic and podiatry care. The partnership will enable ONS’ continued expansion.
ONS CEO Tim Corvino, M.D. discussed the partnership with OTW. “By coming together, ONS and Orthopedic Associates of Middletown have the opportunity to grow our footprint, offer more services and further strengthen the superior clinical outcomes for which both of our organizations are known.”
Dr. Corvino continued, “Patient-centered innovation has always been part of the ONS culture, and by expanding our network, we are able to offer more patients in our region the highest level of care.”
The ONS network now includes 34 physicians, 350 employees, and seven locations. ONS has three locations in Connecticut and New York and now includes Orthopedic Associates of Middletown’s Connecticut facilities in Marlborough, Middletown, North Haven, and Westbrook.
Terry Reardon, M.D., one of Orthopedic Associates of Middletown’s founding physicians nearly 30 years ago, also commented on the partnership. “The communities we serve have always been supportive of us, and this partnership will allow us to continue providing them with the highest-quality of care.”
Dr. Reardon continued, “Orthopedic Associates of Middletown has a history of investing in and pursuing innovations that benefit our patients, physicians and team. Twelve years ago, we built a state-of-the-art clinic to provide our community with a home for care, and by securing this partnership, we are taking another proactive step to make sure we’re able to provide the physician-guided care our community needs for decades to come.”
This partnership marks a first step as ONS pursues regional partnership opportunities. Dr. Corvino explained to OTW, “Following our investment by Kohlberg & Company in 2019, ONS is pursuing partnerships with like-minded physicians who want to join a growing, physician-led organization that promotes their clinical independence, advances orthopedic medicine and ultimately puts patients first.”
