The American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE), based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has announced a partnership between AAOE Empower, the organization’s educational branch, and rater8, an orthopedic reputation management platform. rater8 offers patient satisfaction surveys, reputation management, and search engine optimization.
“The rater8-AAOE Empower partnership is a powerful catalyst for driving practice transformation through data,” says Evan Steele, CEO of rater8. “rater8 clients and AAOE members alike will see the benefit of our complimentary solutions working hand-in-hand.”
According to the AAOE, “rater8’s well known survey platform is available to AAOE members at just $20/physician/month and includes access to patient satisfaction surveys in Empower along with free implementation—an additional savings of up to $1,200. Additionally, AAOE has arranged discount pricing on rater8’s reputation management and practice improvement platform.”
Sam Santschi, J.D., C.M.P.E., 2020 – 2021 AAOE president and practice administrator for Diana Kruse, M.D., explained more about AAOE Empower to OTW, “AAOE Empower allows orthopedic professionals to directly compare their data with other orthopedic physicians and practices. The online, interactive reports provide users with the ability to define comparison groups and access results that are needed to drive strategic and quality improvement decisions. By combining operational, satisfaction, and outcomes data in one platform, advanced insights can be made to improve the overall quality of orthopedic care.”
Regarding the timing of this partnership, Santschi stated, “Orthopedic practice administrators are continuously looking for ways to leverage their current relationships, technology solutions, and resources to meet the needs of their patients, providers, and practice. In 2020, the temporary pause on elective surgeries in many regions of the country further increased the need to make efficient technology investments. By collaborating, rater8 and AAOE have made it possible for administrators to collect patient satisfaction data, improve their social reputation management capabilities, and access a wide range of orthopedic benchmarks at a minimal cost.”
