Derek Matteo, former Vice President of Global Technology Commercialization at NuVasive, Inc., has joined Dublin, Ireland-based Mainstay Medical Holdings as Vice President of U.S. Sales. Since 2008, Derek has led Global Marketing and Global Commercial Development teams in the orthopedic and spine spaces.
Mainstay, which has has subsidiaries operating in Ireland, the U.S., Australia, Germany and the Netherlands, focuses its efforts on commercializing an implantable restorative neurostimulation system—ReActiv8—for people with mechanical chronic low back pain.
Derek Matteo told OTW, “The team at Mainstay has built an incredible foundation of strong clinical data and research supporting the mechanism of action. I look forward to partnering with physicians to deliver clinical education programs to help them deliver this great therapy to their patients.”
