Woburn, Massachusetts-based HD LifeSciences, LLC has named industry veteran Patrick O’Donnell its President and Chief Executive Officer.
HD LifeSciences is a spinal interbody fusion device company. The company’s portfolio includes its Hive™ product line, which are 3D-printed interbody fusion cages with its proprietary Soft Titanium™ technology. These devices offer “ideal biomechanical elastic modulus properties, clear and precise diagnostic imaging capability, osteoblast cell attraction and integration—all features that lead to consistently strong fusion constructs and efficacious clinical experiences.” The company’s proprietary technology has been shown to reduce stiffness, provide superior imaging, and promote ingrowth and outgrowth.
O’Donnell will lead HD LifeSciences’ business operations, with an emphasis on the company’s commercial, clinical, and product development strategy. He brings over 25 years’ experience in medical devices, orthobiologics, and biomaterials in the orthopedics, spine, neurosurgery, and sports medicine fields. O’Donnell has previously held CEO, executive sales, and marketing positions at medical device and combination product companies. He began his career at DePuy Spine and subsequently held roles at early-stage, clinical stage, and pre-commercial stage companies.
