Gerald Aggrey, M.D. has joined Hope Orthopedics of Oregon, a provider of outpatient orthopedic care, in its Salem, Oregon clinic.

Dr. Aggrey is fellowship-trained and specializes in adult joint reconstruction of the hip and knee. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and went on to Durham, North Carolina-based Duke University Medical Center to complete his orthopedic surgery residency. He then completed an adult reconstruction fellowship at Nashville, Tennessee-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Aggrey will join Hope Orthopedics next month and, in October, his wife will join the practice. Tawnee Cain-Aggrey is an occupational therapist and will serve patients in the hand therapy services department.

OTW spoke with Dr. Aggrey about his decision to join Hope Orthopedics. Dr. Aggrey told OTW, “I am beyond excited to be joining the team at Hope Orthopedics. When looking for potential positions I really wanted to find a group whose ideals mirrored my own: dedication to taking excellent care of patients, commitment to lifelong learning, and an eagerness to collaborate with other members of the team to enhance the orthopedic care we provide.

Dr. Aggrey continued, “I found all of these values and more at Hope [Orthopedics]. The partners were all extremely welcoming and I am looking forward to getting to know them better over the next few months and years.”

Dr. Aggrey added, “As my wife and I both love the outdoors, the fact that the group is nestled in the Pacific Northwest is another added bonus. We cannot wait to explore the area and share our love of the outdoors with our two young daughters.”

Hope Orthopedics serves patients from its three Oregon locations in Salem, Keizer, and Dallas. It offers treatment for patients with foot and ankle conditions, hand conditions, hip conditions, knee conditions, shoulder conditions, and sports injuries.
