THINK Surgical, Inc. has appointed David C. Dvorak to the position of Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Dvorak was formerly the president and CEO for ten of his sixteen-year tenure at Warsaw, Indiana based Zimmer Biomet.

Fremont, California-based THINK Surgical is a leader in orthopedic med tech device development, specifically in active robotics for orthopedic surgery. The company’s TSolution One system core technology has been used by surgeons for tens of thousands of joint replacement surgeries around the world.
According to THINK surgical, the TSolution One system is the only total joint replacement robot that features a versatile open implant library. The company collaborates with providers worldwide to develop effective, cutting-edge technologies to alleviate the suffering of joint disease worldwide. THINK Surgical’s registered trademarks include TSolution One, TCAT and TPLAN.
Dvorak brings decades of medical device industry as well as orthopedic tech experience to the new role. During his time as CEO at Zimmer Biomet, the company’s sales more than doubled from $3.5 billion to $7.7 billion. In addition, he was part of the $13.4 billion Biomet acquisition.
Dvorak also led the acquisition of MedTech SA, the surgical robotics company that integrated Zimmer Biomet into robot-assisted surgery markets. Dvorak is also managing director at Black Lake Expeditions, LLC and CEO and chairman of the board at Deep Think Health, Inc.
