King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based spinal implant and instrumentation company Camber Spine Technologies, LLC has announced that Edward J. “We are excited to have a widely respected and esteemed surgeon of Dr. Vresilovic’s caliber on our team at Camber Spine,” said Daniel Pontecorvo, Camber Co-Founder and CEO.
“His track record of innovation and patient results speaks for itself. His clinical expertise will assist us in a myriad of roles including overseeing our medical and scientific advisory boards; guiding the direction and oversight of our clinical studies; assisting in development of product portfolio strategies; assisting with the education of physicians on anatomy, surgical procedures and the efficacy of our products and techniques; and many other key roles that are sure to boost Camber Spine to the next level of excellence.”
Dr. Vresilovic studied medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University, as well. He completed fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and University of California San Diego, in joint reconstruction and spinal disorders, respectively.
Vresilovic has since maintained a varied and active role in the field, pursuing research, education, patient care and publishing over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 10 patents. Vresilovic’s background includes roles as Professor at the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Penn State College of Medicine, Chief of Spine Service, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
“One of the reasons I chose to join Camber Spine is the company’s sensitivity to patient anatomy and outcomes. With that and an emphasis on products that help convert surgeon frustrations to innovative solutions, such as providing devices and tools that specifically empower surgeons to perform alternative approaches like OLIF, Camber is positioned to make quantum leaps in the spinal fusion market, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to contribute to that success from a clinical perspective,” Vresilovic told OTW.
Camber Spine’s mission is to provide effective, surgeon-designed spinal solutions and “minimally disruptive access” for complex spinal pathology treatment. The company is focused on innovation and high-quality production through state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the newest capabilities in 3-D printing.
