Kevin Navas is Jackson, Mississippi-based orthopedic care platform U.S. Orthopaedic Partners (USOP) new Chief Operating Officer. Joining him is Rhonda Gibby as USOP’s new Chief Human Resources Officer.

U.S. Orthopaedic Partners is a full-service orthopedic care platform, offering comprehensive musculoskeletal care and ancillary services across the Southeastern region of the United States. The company has seen vast expansion in recent years with the addition of many regional orthopedic practices.

Kevin Navas was previously senior vice president for the National Accounts Division for Healogics, Inc. where he oversaw 200 advanced wound care centers across the ten largest American health systems. Navas’ background also includes experience as chief operating officer for St. Petersburg General Hospital. At St. Petersburg, he led the creation of a thoracic oncology program, Robotic Hernia Repair Center, a robotic surgical PA program, and the construction of a new interventional radiology suite.

In addition, Navas was associate administrator and interim chief operating officer at Bradenton, Florida’s Manatee Memorial Hospital, chief financial officer at DaVita Inc. of the Mid-Atlantic and Hospital Services Groups, and as an investment banker and private equity investor on Wall Street, where Navas closed over $13 billion in financing transactions and acquisitions.

Navas told OTW, “I’m excited to collaborate with the talented providers and staff at our partner practices to increase patient access to our high-quality orthopedic services. I’m also looking forward to partnering with our practice administrators to increase and improve the support services we provide to our physicians so they can remain focused on treating patients.”

As USOP Chief Human Resources Officer, Rhonda Gibby will lead the “people and talent agenda.” She brings an impressive and comprehensive track record in human resources to her new role at USOP. Gibby’s experience spans strategic planning, recruiting, payroll, retention, training & development, labor & employee relations, succession planning, intellectual capital management, HRIS, payroll, welfare benefits, and executive compensation.

Before joining USOP, Gibby served as founder and principal of Talent Advantage, LLC, a talent solutions company designed to provide a competitive advantage for diverse clientele. Gibby has also previously been senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Avanos Medical, vice president of human resources at the Healthcare & KC Professional Business Units of the Kimberly-Clark organization, and as an HR professional and leader in her field, excelling in organizational effectiveness and talent management. Gibby also held roles in Tyco Healthcare, the medical tech arm of Tyco International.

Gibby told OTW, “I’m looking forward to continuing to build USOP’s culture of one voice and one vision for our patients, providers and employees.”
